This is my introduction of 100 words.

Not all tje stories are easy to tell. This is one of those.

"Chip," they call me. Since I was a boy I remember to be called Chip.  I do not why because my real name Jim.

But that comes in another part of this story.

I have lived in Villagetown all my life and I have witnessed with my own eyes the story I am about to tell. No from third persons, no from books. I was there, I see it, and I was part of it.

Now, 35 years later, Villagetown is not the same.

So long ago, before these incidents, I am about to tell, Villagetown used to be a quiet country town. We could say my town could have been the perfect place for a love story. A town surrounded by pine trees in the middle of the forest, very close to "Cold River," named cold because the water comes from the mountains and is very cold.

That was Village town until that Tuesday morning, the first day of Fall, when, for the first in years, the water of Cold River had that strange odor ...and color.
