World War I came to an end on November 11th, 1918. However, the treaty that outlined the punishment for the Central Powers, the Treaty of Versailles, was not signed until 1919. In 1930s, Hitler emerged in popularity by selling a ray of hope for the citizens of Germany. He managed to increase the feeling of nationalism within the country and convinced the majority of the people to support the next war effort that will put Germany as the leader of the western countries.
