Why were some people opposed to admitting Missouri to the Union? A) Missouri was part of the Louisiana Purchase, which was still owned by Britain. B) They felt the area should be part of the existing states of Kentucky and Illinois. C) Missouri’s population had not reached 60,000 men. D) Admitting Missouri would create an uneven number of slave states vs. free states. Please help me!!!
