Honors/AAP Your Political Party Bumper Sticker:
A political party is an organization of people sharing ideas about how to govern the nation, a state, and/or a community. There are several political parties in the United States today. The two with the most members are the Republican Party & the Democratic Party.
Political parties try to get their members elected to federal, state, & local offices. They raise money to pay for election campaigns and organize workers to help their candidates.
Political parties have symbols that stand for them. For example, the symbols of the two major parties are animals: the elephant (Republican) and the donkey (Democrat).
Directions:
1. Create a party & make up a name for the political party of your choice. Write it in the space provided.
2. You must also list 3 planks (ideas) for which your party believes are the most important ideas from your party’s platform & explain it.( 3points each plank)
