Kai read about an accident at a rail-crossing and wondered about the cause. Perhaps it was caused by linear perspective, a(n) cue concerning parallel lines which might have led the car's driver to overestimate the distance of the train.

Explanation: Monocular cues refers to hints which gives information about the depth or distance of an object when viewed from a one dimensional space. The linear perspective is a Monocular depth cue which involves getting a perception of the depth of distance informaton of objects in area by creating an imaginary view of parallel lines which seems to converge at a point at a distant. With objects getting diminished as they reach the vanishing point. Actual distances seems to be difficult get in a Monocular cues though as object seems to become farther using a 1-D view.
