. Why isn’t seawater a usable resource for most countries in Southwest Asia?

Their technology isn't advanced enough like the U.S. to convert into Fresh Water. Also some countries are poor to use advanced technology, they cost a lot. In the U.S. we use something like generators to seperate salt in the sea water to make fresh water.
