Gender-schema theory was created to addresses the problems of Kohlberg's theory, the Kohlberg's theory is of the opinion that sex typed behaviour emerges long before children reach an understanding of gender consistency.

The Gender-schema theory says that children are already pre-programmed to organise information into schemas.

There are 3 stage in a Gender-schema theory, they includes;

1st stage

2nd stage
