If you read of a new "finding" in the newspaper one morning but noticed that only Caucasian subjects from Seattle were used in the experiment you might not give a lot of credibility to the study. This would be because of possible limitations.

Generalizability is a phenomenon that is used by the researcher in their studies. Generalizability is applied by the researcher in real settings. This is the extension of the research findings. It is the conclusion of the pilot study to the large study. The dependability of the research is not absolute.

It is probable in research. Generability needs a large amount of the data to generalize on the population. It is quantitative research. So that if someone is read of the new findings in the newspaper in the morning but noticed that only Caucasian subjects from Seattle were used in the experiment. This happened because of Generalizability.
