Ethnocentrism is defined as the scenario where an individual views others culture with theirs as having a superior view over that of others. Among many of it's defects ethnocentrism can promote racism, xenophobia, political, social and economic voilence against those people which they believe are superior over. Most times what is considered in ethnocentrism is language, religion, custom among many others.
