The question of nature vs. nurture is one of the most famous ones in psychology. "Nature," as it applies to intelligence, states that intelligence is a genetic trait. It is passed from parents to children and can be considered innate. On the other hand, "nurture" is the argument that intelligence is not genetic, but instead depends on the environment that surrounds a child.
