The following can affect his perceptions of the robbery:

Context effect explains how environmental factors can affect one's perception of a stimulus. In David's case, the tense environment can make David frightened and unwilling to be in that environment.His emotions will be negatively affected because fear will make him unable to coordinate his thoughts.External motivations like fear will also make David unwilling to be in that environment again.

The robbery incident can negatively impact the emotions of David.

Generally, fear induced by the event will make him scared of the bank environment. He might even want to change his bank because of this.

The factors that he has witnessed in this environment will make him have a negative perception of the bank.
