An individual decision depends on is moral values and ethics and mainly depends on the situation which will either be a good or a bad one . An utilitarian approach is an individual approach which  gives pleasure to a person instead of any distress to any anyone .

An utilitarian approach is an outcome of a situation which is carried by a single individual . It is a theory which is used by everyone so that it results in a moral decision which a person takes for himself and others  . For example , if a person likes an ice cream he will buy it but to choose its flavor is his choice which gives him pleasure and this is utilitarian approach for a moral decision . So , the process one must use is that , a person taking a moral decision using the utilitarian approach is that he or she should take such decisions which will give happiness to all without any harm to anybody . The utilitarian approach includes the family , friends , company , community and society for which an individual will take moral decision and think of its benefits and harm .
