The context-dependence theory is the theory of perception and motivation. In this theory when a person memorizes a piece of information then memorize some other cues that present during that time in the environment.

Some physical characteristics help a person during the memorization of an event such as lightning, room, dimension and decoration, sound, etc. These are some context-dependent cues that help a person to memorize an event that happened during that time when these cues were presented in the environment.  

Thus the context-dependent theory helps a person to memorize the information, events, etc by cues that present that time during the events or circumstances in which they learned.
