The most famous revival meeting of second great awakening was held in 1801 at Cane Ridge Revival and 20,000 to 25,000 people attended this meeting. The movement was interpreted differently in Northern and southern part of US. The northern states developed the idea of equality and volunteerism while the southern preachers tried to preach that slavery was supported by bible.
