In erikson's portrait of early childhood, the young child clearly has begun to develop which is the representation of self, the substance and content of self-conceptions.

  Self-understanding

Explanation:  Self-understanding in early childhood is, according to Erikson, one of the stages in the development of the concept of personality, which occurs at all stages through conflict resolution, and the way in which these solutions are resolved, that is, their outcome will influence personality formation.

Thus, in the early childhood, the concept of self-understanding develops, when the child begins to become aware of his / her self,  and other aspects of his / her self. It may refer to self-awareness of physical existence, then of one's self within the social community, at that time most commonly family, nurseries and kindergarten comrades, etc., initial self-awareness of competencies, as well as psychological self. Thus, in early childhood, children develop self-awareness and become aware of their categorical self, that is, how children see themselves.
