The graduate is correct when she refuses to take the oath saying ithe oath is unconstitutional. She is correct because even though government employees are expected to support the Constitution and to oppose the violent, illegal or unsconstitutional overthrow of the government, they are NOT required to promise respect for the flag. In fact, a person can refuse to salute the flag for religious reasons.
