If you were an exceedingly wealthy altruistic philanthropist, what causes would you support and why?

If I were exceedingly wealthy, I would focus on a one-two punch of environmental and economic development causes. I live in Maine and I'd love to invest in causes that are protecting Maine's coast and forest while also finding sustainable new businesses to help workers continue to live in Maine.
