How did john locke’s idea of “natural rights” influence the founding fathers?

The Founding Fathers drew vigorously upon English rationalist John Locke in setting up America's First Principles, most quite the acknowledgment of unalienable rights, the Social Compact, and restricted government. Locke's most significant and powerful works were his First and Second Treatise of Civil Government (1689).  

The reason for government, Locke composed, is to verify and ensure the undeniable basic common privileges of the general population. As far as concerns them, the general population must comply with the laws of their rulers. Jefferson received John Locke's hypothesis of regular rights to give motivation to upheaval.
