How did most white southerners view the practice of slavery? they disagreed with slavery and did not own enslaved workers. they felt slavery was shameful and should be abolished. they saw slavery as a positive good for enslaved workers. they felt they needed to own enslaved workers to make a living.

Southerners believed and felt to own enslaved workers to make a living. They strongly believe that such practice is necessary and whenever they would free the slaves it will only cause chaos in the entire country. They justified owning slaves by arguing that freeing the slaves will only increase the unemployment rate of the country.
