Select the correct text in the passage. Which sentence in this blog entry by a child development specialist most clearly contains logos, or a logical appeal? children should read books more often. A vast amount of knowledge can be gained through reading, and parents who wish their children to grow up to be intelligent and sensible must encourage them to read. Parents, you don't want your children to fall behind in school, right? many experiments and studies prove that reading has had a variety of positive effects upon children. Research conducted in the institute of education by dr. Alice sullivan showed that children who read more are likely to do better at school than others. Children whose parents read to them also showed major development in various thought processes. Reading books teaches children to think critically. When they read, they begin to understand cause and effect. They also learn to apply logic to solve both everyday and abstract problems. Books teach children about relationships, situations, characters, and what is good and bad in the world they live in.
