People usually only post the best pictures of themselves, complete with filters and edits to make them more attractive or appealing. They post when they do exciting things like getting a new job, getting into a college, getting married, or having kids. They also tend to post when things are the worst, ranting about terrible things that happened to them. This keeps people from seeing what is actually happening day to day, their little highs or lows, small successes or minor failures.
