List three ways that electromagnetic radiation is used to improve our everyday lives.

1) Light: The light that comes from light bulbs, lanterns, and even from your tv screen, are actually a form of electromagnetic radiation, which is called the "visible range of the light". So the illumination in your house is thanks to the electromagnetic radiation

2) Cooking: The microwave oven works with electromagnetic radiation, where the "microwaves" heat the water in the food and in this way the food itself is heated up.

3) Long-distance signals:

Things like radio or cellphones need electromagnetic waves to send and receive information  (like broadcasts or calls). the range of wavelengths used depends on case to case but usually are used low energy-high wavelength waves to cover big distances.
