Why don’t the present shapes of the continents fit perfectly in to a supercontinent

What we call the "shape of the continent" is the "shape" of the coast ...
the line where the land meets the water.

If the water is higher or lower, then the "shape" of the continent will
look different.

So the height of "sea level" is really what determines the "shape of
the continents that we think we see. Those "shapes" really don't have
much to do with the "lines" where the ancient continents were joined
before they broke up and drifted apart.
