How does the current model of the atom differ from j. j. thomson's model?

J.j. thomson's model of the atom called the plum pudding model proposed that the atom was composed of electrons surrounded by a soup of positive charge to balance out the electron's negative charge, analogous to negatively charged 'plums' surrounded by a positively charged 'pudding'. the current model of the atom is different frorm the plum pudding model as we know that the electrons are not present in the nucleus of the atom together with the protons, rather orbit the nucleus at different energy levels. in the current model, the nucleus is comprised of protons and neutrons, held together by the strong  nuclear force
