Iwill give 50
you're having a bad day! you just want a minute to yourself, so you walk to your room. you turn on the light. you see a ball sitting on the floor and give it a swift kick! you find that candy bar that you have been saving for a day like this and eat it. you sit on your bed, pick-up your mp3 player, put on the headphones and turn it on. you hear the first few notes of your new favorite song, and a smile spreads across your face. as the song plays, your foot starts to tap. then you start to play the "air drums." before you know it, you are dancing around your room. by the time the chorus starts, you are singing at the top of your lungs. all of this singing and dancing has made you really hot and sweaty, so you turn on the fan. the umbrella in the corner catches your eye and you grab it for the big guitar solo! the song comes to an end and you collapse on your bed. then you think to yourself, "what was i mad about again? "
there are many examples of energy conversions/transformations in this story. your task is to find examples of the 5 conversions listed below. an example has been done for you.
sample question: find an example of mechanical energy being converted to thermal energy in the story. "all of this singing and dancing has made you really hot and sweaty" is an example of mechanical energy (singing and dancing) being converted to thermal energy (getting hot and sweaty).
1. find an example of electrical energy being converted to light energy.
2. find an example of potential energy being converted to kinetic/mechanical energy.
3. find an example of chemical energy being converted to sound energy.
4. find an example of electrical energy being converted to mechanical energy.
5. find an example of chemical energy being converted to mechanical energy.
(i put in 50 points so if it doesn't give you all 50 tell me and i'lldo like whats 2+2 worth alot of points till you get 50)

Acommon technique in analysis of scientific data is normalization. the purpose of normalizing data is to eliminate irrelevant constants that can obscure the salient features of the data. the goal of this experiment is to test the hypothesis that the flux of light decreases as the square of the distance from the source. in this case, the absolute value of the voltage measured by the photometer is irrelevant; only the relative value conveys useful information. suppose that in part 2.2.2 of the experiment, students obtain a signal value of 162 mv at a distance of 4 cm and a value of 86 mv at a distance of 5.7 cm. normalize the students' data to the value obtained at 4 cm. (divide the signal value by 162.) then calculate the theoretically expected (normalized) value at 5.7 cm.
