If you mean a free body diagram, you take ALL the forces acting on the body and draw them on the object representing the body. In statics, the forces and consequent torqes must sum to zero. In dynamics the net force, rotational motion and energy must satisfy Newtons second law of motion and energy conservation laws. This can get really complicated.
