Find Acceleration due to gravity. Procedural Instructions:

You will need to jump vertically and mark another horizontal line (still with your hands stretched up) on the white sheet. Label this as h. Before doing this, have another member record your time (from jumping up to returning to the floor). Upon his/her signal, he/she will start the timer at the same time that you jump. He/she should stop the timer upon your return to the floor. Record this in your data table.

Fill up the table and use your data to find the experimental g of each member. Compute for the mean g of the group. Refer to the white board for the correct formula to be used.

Compute for the percentage error of your mean experimental g. Refer to the white board again for the correct formula to be used.

In 1859, charles darwin published the first edition of on the origin of species, which explained his observations of various groups of animals that showed great similarities but minor differences. darwin concluded that if a population of one species separates into two different populations that live in separate locations, then over the course of many generations the different populations can develop into different species. this idea predicted many future biological findings and became the basis of modern biology. darwin’s explanation for why different species exist is best described as a(n) law. theory. inquiry. hypothesis.
