A resistor is connected to a 40V power supply. An ammeter measures a current of 2.0A going through it. Determine the resistance. [2 marks]

A circuit has a current of 10A. The wire has a resistance of 9Ω. Determine the voltage across the energy source. [2 marks]

The circuit below contains two identical lamps. The total resistance of the circuit is 30Ω. The voltage drop across the battery is 6.0V.

a) Calculate the current in the circuit. [2 marks]
b) Calculate the voltage of each lamp. [2 mark]
c) Calculate the resistance of each lamp. [2 mark]
The circuit below has three identical lamps. The current coming out of the battery is 4A. The total resistance of the circuit is 9Ω.

a) Calculate the voltage of the battery. [2 marks]

b) Calculate the voltage of each lamp. [2 marks]

#10 Draw a schematic diagram of a circuit consisting of a two-cell battery, a resistor, a lamp and a motor all connected in series. Attach a switch to control the circuit, an ammeter to measure the current after the motor and a voltmeter to measure the voltage across the resistor. 10- MARKS

# 11 Draw a schematic diagram of a circuit consisting of a two-cell battery, two motors and two lamps. If one of the lamps is unscrewed the other lamp should also turn off. If one of the motors is disconnected the other one should stay on. Include a switch that controls the whole system, an ammeter to measure the current coming out of the power supply and a voltmeter to measure the voltage drop across the power supply 10 MARKS

The coulomb's law explains which of the following? select all the force between two charged objects is inversely proportional to the charge on each object. the force between two charged objects is directly proportional to the charge on each object. the force between two charged objects is directly proportional to the distance separating them. the force between two charged objects is inversely proportional to the square of the distance separat coulomb's law is similar to newton's 2nd law. if the force between two objects is f and the charge on both objects is doubled, the new force between the would now be 2f. if the force between two objects is 2f and the distance separating them is doubled, the new force between the objects would now o the be zf.

Which of the following correctly describes what happens when an atomic bomb explodes? small pieces of fissionable material are joined and form a body with a mass greater than the critical mass, the relative number of neutrons escaping decreases, and a chain reaction and explosion result. large pieces of fissionable matter are brought together quickly and form a body with a mass smaller than the critical mass, the relative number of escaping neutrons increases, and a chain reaction and explosion result.
