The Great Nebula consist primarily of excited hydrogen gas. The electrons in atoms of excited hydrogen gas have been raised to higher energy levels. When energy is released, a frequent transition of electrons goes n = 3 energy level to the n = 2 energy level. Please show all work.
A. Determine the energy, in electronvolts, of a emitted photon when a electron goes from n = 3 to n = 2.
B. Determine the energy of the photon in joules.
C. Calculate the frequency of the emitted photon.
