When the person steps out of the shade she exposes about 1/3 of her exposed surface area to direct sunlight and the temperature of this exposed skin rises to 39Ā°C. It is close to sunset, so the sun is shining more or less horizontally and the atmosphere attenuates its intensity to only 25% of its normal value of 1360 W mā€“2. On top of that, the personā€™s pale skin reflects 60% of the sunā€™s rays which are predominantly in the visible part of the electromagnetic wave spectrum. Estimate, just roughly, how the personā€™s overall radiative exchange of energy with her environment (including the sun) changes as a result of stepping out of the shade.

Air enters a compressor operating at steady state at 1.05 bar, 300 k, with a volumetric flow rate of 93 m3/min and exits at 12 bar, 400 k. heat transfer occurs at a rate of 15.5 kw from the compressor to its surroundings. assuming the ideal gas model for air neglecting kinetic potential energy effects, determine the power in put in kw.
