When we are heating a liquid, it temperature increases till a certain point. At this point, even after providing further heat, the temperature does not increase but the state of matter starts to change from liquid to gas. The temperature of the substance does not change till all of the liquid boils off into gaseous form. Hence, this temperature (135°C) is known as boiling point. The point at which the entire liquid gets converted into gaseous form is known as boiling point.
