Alittle girl kicks a soccer ball. it goes 10 feet and comes back to her. how is this possible?

It could have bounced off of something or another kid could have kicked it back. 

She kicked the ball up 10 feet and gravity brought it down based on Newtons Law, "What goes up must come down"
