i need with nitrogen. i know it gains 3 electrons. so that would make it a ion?

If it gains three electrons then it means it's a negative 3 because when it's positively charged then you lose electrons but when it's negatively charged then you gain electrons. It's reversed. Electron Configuration would be 1s2, 2s2, 2p3 that's without gaining the three electrons. With it is 1s2, 2s2, 2p6 which means that the Noble Gas is Neon.
