Students in a Physics class are conducting experiment to know how to increase the strength of an electro magnet. (9b) Student 1- Place another nail with the first and reduce the number of coils
Student 2- use a wooden splint instead of nail and add few more coils around the splint.
Student 3- Remove the nail and connect both ends of the coil to the same battery terminal.
Student 4- add additional wraps around the nail and add another battery to increase the current through the wire. Which student described the steps correctly?

Cyclotrons are widely used in nuclear medicine for producing short-lived radioactive isotopes. these cyclotrons typically accelerate h- (the hydride ion, which has one proton and two electrons) to an energy of 5 mev to 20 mev. this ion has a mass very close to that of a proton because the electron mass is negligible—about 1 2000 of the proton’s mass. a typical magnetic field in such cyclotrons is 1.9 t. (a) what is the speed of a 5.0-mev h-? (b) if the h- has energy 5.0 mev and b = 1.9 t, what is the radius of this ion’s circular orbit?

The goal of this experiment was to answer the question, "how does diffraction occur? " suppose you formulated this alternate hypothesis: if the gap width is increased while keeping wavelength constant, then the observed diffraction will decrease because the less the ratio between wavelength and gap width is, the smaller the observed diffraction angle will be.to test this hypothesis, you would change the  gap widthdiffraction anglewavelength  and observe the  gap widthdiffraction anglewavelength  in the system.therefore, the independent variable would be the  gap widthdiffraction anglewavelength  and the dependent variable would be the  gap widthdiffraction anglewavelength.
