In recent times I've been curious and yearning to be more energy efficient. I also know that continuously turning off and on electronics does exert more power than it saves. So, with that in mind, I was wondering what is the optimal time to turn on the light to be the most conservative in regards to power? Let's say I take leave my room for 5 minutes for every 25 minutes. In doing so, I turn off the lights for only 5 minutes. Would that be more efficient or would I have to wait longer to turn them back on?
