The cart shown above had a mass 2kg. The cart is released from rest and slides from the top of an inclined friction-less plane of height 4m. a. Determine the speed of the cart when it reached the bottom of the incline.

b. After sliding down then incline and across the friction-less horizontal surface, the cart collided with a bumper of negligible mass attached to an ideal spring, which had a spring constant 1000N/m. Determine the distance the spring is compressed before the cart and bumper come to rest.
