Finding the balancing force
1. Look at the example from lecture. For the final product, look at the labeling.
2. You do not have to label the x and y-components of the given forces. Just the resultant force (as seen in the final product).
3. Use the given arrows (see example) to find, with accuracy and precision, the size of the components of the resultant force and label these components.
4. Make sure your final product has the same (exact) format as the example.
5. Note that the balancing force is opposite of the resultant force.
6. Your Lab Instructor is grading the accuracy and precision of the final product.
7. Please note: Do not forget that you can size any of the arrows to their appropriate sizes.
