The left ventricle of a resting adult’s heart pumps blood at a flow rate of 83 cm^3/s, and an average heartbeat increases the pressure in the vessels by 73.5 mm Hg, the speed of the blood from zero to 25 cm/s, and the height by 11.45 cm. Calculate the total power output of the left ventricle. Note that most of the power is used to increase blood pressure.
