You have just been hired as a health and wellness reporter at the local station WFVS! Congratulations and welcome aboard!

For your first news assignment, you will be interviewing family members, friends, or someone else you may know about what they may have seen in the media about some of the health issues you have read about.

Please interview four different people and be sure to get of their necessary information for your report. You can use a sound recording device, a video recorder, or just take notes, but be sure to keep of your information that you have gathered! You will need it later!

Ask each interviewee at least 10 questions about health. You can make up your own interview format or use this as a starter, but make sure you include of that important information!

Interviewee Name:

Age:

Gender:

Job:

Date and Time of interview:

1. What are some major health concerns that you have?

2. Are there ways that you know you can monitor and prevent these health concerns (or other concerns like obesity)?

3. How do family members influence your health?

4. If you need to find out more about a specific health issue, what do you do? Please be specific. (Don’t let them say “look on the internet”, because we have already learned that not everything on the internet is reliable! They should tell you a specific site if they use the internet as a source.)

5. What do you think is the biggest health concern facing our country?

6. What are some things that you do to help monitor your health?

7. How would you help get the word out about this major health concern?

8. How do you think the media influences what concerns we have for our health?

9. If you could change one thing about your health care system, what would it be?

10. What are some way you can get rid of your health concerns

Remember that you must ask ten questions, so you need to think of some more on your own! Make sure you ask them about how they keep healthy and what they do to make sure they are on top of their health game!

Please be sure to keep of your information and interview notes. You may also want to ask each person if you could ask them more questions later if you need more information from them. When you complete your final project, you will need of your interview data; so, keep it handy!
