When you drop something in general down a tube the air is drawn up ward and is pushes the paper up but, at the same time gravity is taking it's affect by pushing the paper down .And as for the coin its to heavy so the little bit of air being forced up doesn't affect the coin so the only thing that is affecting the coin is gravity

thus, when the planes leave the stratosphere and return to the ground, the exterior temperature increases steadily.
