In the previous experiments you should have come up with a candidate for a physical quantity that is always constant during collisions for an isolated system. Your goal here is to test your candidate physical quantity by using it to predict the ratio of the final velocities of the two sets of students on carts. Hailey's mass is 68.6 kg, Christine's mass is 57.8 kg, Connor's mass is 69.4 kg. Each cart has a mass of 22 kg. Both carts are initially stationary. Hailey and Connor push off each other and both carts roll backwards in opposite directions. ; PIVOS interactives Christine+Hailey+c art = 148.450.5 kg Combined mass of Connor+cart = 91.4+0.5 kg WARRIOR Use this information to predict the ratio of their speeds after they push each other. DO NOT watch the video until you've made a numerical prediction for the ratio of their speeds. Include an estimate of the uncertainty in your prediction. Show all your work in the text-box below. Hint: Make sure you a. Identify your system,
b. Draw a momentum bar chart for that system, clearly identifying the initial and final states.
c. Use the bar chart to construct an equation that you can use to predict the ratio of their speeds after they push each other.

Two masses are connected by a rope that hangs over a pulley as shown below. the pulley is a uniform cylinder of radius ν‘…=0.381meters and mass ν‘€=3.1ν‘˜ν‘”. initially ν‘š"is on the ground and ν‘š#rests 2.5 meters above the ground. if the system is released, use conservation of energy to determine the speed of ν‘š#just before it strikes the ground. assume the pulley bearing is frictionless.
