The physical limitations of the practical transformer may be brought together as an equivalent circuit model built around an ideal lossless transformer. There is one
transformer which has 800 primary turns and 350 secondary turns. The primary
and secondary resistances are 0.55 Ω and 0.3 Ω respectively and the
corresponding leakage reactance are 1.2 Ω and 0.06 Ω respectively. Draw the
equivalent circuit of this transformer and determine:
i) The equivalent resistance referred to the primary winding.
ii) The equivalent reactance referred to the primary winding.
iii) The equivalent impedance referred to the primary winding.
iv) The phase angle of the impedance.
