Review the example on page 111 of your textbook for calculating the average speed for a day long bus trip. In the example, the time spent at each of the cities is included in the calculation. However, the bus driver wants to know his average driving speed not counting the stops. To find this information, recalculate the average speed omitting the time spent at the stops. What was the average speed while the bus was in motion?
