Why should antibiotics be given to a person who is ill with a bacterial disease like strep throat, but not to a person who has a viral disease like measles?

antibiotics kill bacteria but not viruses.

antibiotics make viruses grow faster.

antibiotics are made by viruses.

viruses are not living things.
