How are the concepts of quantitative and qualitative related?

a) both refer to the magnitude of a property. quantitative determines specific numbers (880.0 hz, 50m/s). qualitative compares 2 things in relative terms (smaller, softer, dimmer)

b) both refer to the magnitude of a property. quantitative compares 2 things in relative terms (larger, louder, brighter). qualitative determines specific numbers (440.0 hz, 80m/s)

c) the concepts of quantitative and qualitative are not related at all.
