A15.0-kg board (2.30 meters in length), sits horizontally at rest atop two vertical springs (spring constants of 680 n/m). spring #1 is at the left end of the board while spring #2 is 0.60 meters from the right. describe a free-body diagram for the board. type, source, receiver, and direction must be specified for each force. determine the magnitudes of each of the forces exerted upon the board. determine the compression of each of the springs. note that you will get different answers for each spring, but you should still assume that the board is horizontal (otherwise the problem gets ridiculously complicated).
