What was done to test if comets are responsible for 1/2 the earth's water?

↪  These proved that most of the water came from Comets for the world's first oceans

The comet has a lot of water in it.

They decided to look at historical records of comet collisions and judge

the working equation for the angular size is the product of the physical size and 360 degrees divided by the product of two pi and distance from earth. the minimum size would be 0.559 degrees while the maximum size would be 0.49 degrees.
