In the illustration of diffuse reflection, we do not see an image because individual rays of light are scattered in different directions.

a) the light rays do not follow the law of reflection, and

b) although each ray of light follows the law of reflection,

c) the angle of incidence does not equal the angle of reflection for any light wave, and

d) the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are both greater than 45 degrees, so
