Short Velocity is a speed with direction and speed on its own doesn’t have a direction.

Long They have speed limits rather than velocity limits is because velocity is considered a vector - a quantity that is fully deceived by both magnitude and direction (meaning that includes direction). On the other hand, speed is considered a scalar - a quantity that is fully described by magnitude alone (meaning there isn’t a direction)

quantum physics has some parallels to our macro world and some pretty unique ideas which theoretically and mathematically proven to be true even though we will never be able to access them because of our size.
