You as a team, have just established your own clinic with multiple specialties. Every physician will lead his department at the clinic. Your clinic has a nursing department, and one administrative department for registration and accounting. Suppose you have already implemented a computerized billing system. Now, you need to select a new EHR system for your clinic, you are required to apply all the steps of system acquisition process and write a final report which covers all the points mentioned in Exhibit 5.1 (Overview of system acquisition process) page 147. Your report should contain: • The organization of your clinic (description of each department, human resources, infrastructure, equipment's, etc.). • Description and discussion of each step in the system Acquisition (see Exhibit 5.1). * Note that, you should discuss a real IT options with IT companies and vendors, through their website or through contacting directly with them.
